Collection : Ridge by Keiji Takeuchi

A mountain ridge is a boundary created by opposing forces pushing each other and upheaving the land. The presence of the line represents a state in which these two forces found a perfect balance.

Door handles are typically used by either being pulled or pushed to enter other environments. When we design the optimal form factor for these two opposing actions and merge them, we naturally arrive at a shape with a ridge in the middle. It is why in this design collection, we see these edges on the contour of each piece.

For the first collection for aru., we aimed to design handles that naturally blend into the living space. It looks very serene at first glance, but when people hold it in their hands, they may sense all the care we took in each piece.
